A RISING star in British cycling has had his bike stolen for the second time in four months.
Chris Latham’s Pinarello Graal bicycle — worth about £6,000 — was stolen from a Toyota Yaris car parked in Ingles Fold, Worsley, on Saturday night.
The road time trial bicycle was rare and Mr Latham is hopeful it will be returned to him.
The 19-year-old, who is from Breightmet, said: “I don’t think there are many bikes of that size, colour and even that model. I’m disappointed — gutted.”
Mr Latham is a member of the under-23 Great Britain cycling academy and hopes to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Mr Latham was targeted in April when thieves stole two bikes from his shed. They were found nearby by police.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, on 0800 555111.
