Farnworth man threatened to stab ex-girlfriend and leave a dead body on her doorstep
A FARNWORTH man who threatened to stab his ex-girlfriend and leave a dead body on the doorstep of her Blackpool home had been ordered to do unpaid work.
Thomas Jones, a 23-year-old window cleaner, of North Avenue, pleaded guilty to harassing Victoria McCormack.
He was sentenced to do 100 hours unpaid work for the community and put on 12 months supervision by Blackpool magistrates.
Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, said on July 8 Jones returned his daughter and her son to his former girlfriend after they had stayed overnight.
He went into his ex's bedroom, asked her if she had been seeing anyone and then spotted a photograph of a man she had once been out for a drink with.
Jones told his ex: “I’m going to stab him. I'll stab anyone who goes near you and then I'll stab you.”
He then sent her numerous texts and threatened she would wake up to a dead body on her doorstep.
