Teenager denies murdering 43-year-old in Bolton town centre
A TEENAGER accused of murdering a man in Bolton town centre has denied the offence in a hearing at Manchester Crown Court.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke only to plead not guilty to murdering 43-year-old Simon Mitchell.
He was remanded in custody until his trial, which is due to start on November 12 and is expected to last two weeks.
Mr Mitchell, of Mossland Grove, Hunger Hill, was found with serious head injuries in Victoria Square, Bolton, on June 14.
He died later in the Royal Bolton Hospital and police launched a murder investigation.
