A MAN has been charged with robbing and murdering an 87-year-old Daubhill man in his own home.
Daniel Crompton, aged 24, of no fixed address will appear before Bolton Magistrates Court tomorrow, charged with murder, robbery and burglary.
He is charged with murdering and robbing 87-year-old Frank Worsley in his home in Longfield Road, Daubhill in the early hours of Saturday, August 3.
Mr Worsley died in hospital on August 20, more than two weeks after Crompton is accused of breaking into his home and attacking him.
Crompton is also charged burgling at a home in St Helens Road, Daubhill, on August 3.
