Reebok Stadium to host 'Help to Buy' first-time home buyers' event
A FIRST-of-its-kind event to help people looking to buy their first home is set to take place in Bolton.
The event, hosted by Plumlife, the government-appointed Help to Buy agency, is aiming to help people find out more about the affordable home ownership schemes.
Lisa Westerman, group head of sales and marketing for Plumlife, said: “Anyone looking to get a foothold on the property ladder shouldn’t miss this event. Potential buyers will have access to expert advice and can learn about the government’s Help to Buy schemes available, as well as get access to on-the-spot, impartial financial and legal info.”
The event will also showcase the homes available in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire region.
Help to Buy schemes include the government’s new Equity Loan and the Shared Ownership initiative which give prospective buyers the all-important helping hand they need to both reduce the deposit required and keep mortgage repayments affordable.
Ms Westerman added: “Housing supply in parts of the North West remains a big problem.
“The inability for first time buyers to take a first step on the property ladder because of strict lending criteria, and the subsequent lack of buyers enabling second steppers to move up has resulted a stagnant market.
“In order to tackle these issues the government has introduced a number of schemes that will undoubtedly give hope to the many people wanting to buy.”
People wishing to attend the show should register online at the website thehomebuyershow.co.uk. The event is on Saturday, October 12, 10am to 4pm.
