A 21-YEAR-OLD driver who knocked a policeman off his motorbike before hitting a police car has been committed to Bolton Crown Court for sentence.
Tom Potter, of Darley Grove, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to three motoring offences.
The charges relate to an incident on Chorley Old Road on September 16, where Potter was seen driving a Vauxhall Astra at speed, and without insurance, and failing to stop for police on Tennyson Street, Bolton.
Prosecuting Simon Leong said Potter was seen by police driving at 60mph in a 40mph along Chorley Old Road and went through six red lights, collided with a police bike knocking the rider off before being in collision with a police car where he came to a halt.
Ahead of sentencing, magistrates imposed an interim disqualification on Potter. The case will be heard at the crown court on October 25.
