Suspect re-bailed over Horwich armed bank robbery
A SUSPECT arrested in connection with a bank robbery has been bailed.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbing Santander in Lee Lane, Horwich, on Thursday, September 12.
He was bailed after his arrest and has now been rebailed to appear at a police station on Saturday, November 16.
The robbery took place shortly before 11.30am. Two men carrying weapons entered the branch.
One man jumped over the counter and punched a bank clerk in the face before taking cash.
Both men got into a red Ford Focus which was later abandoned.
A second man, a 23-year-old, is also on bail after being arrested on suspicion of robbery.
