MAGISTRATES have jailed a woman for 24 weeks after she admitted handling a stolen cello.
Bolton Magistrates Court heard how 30-year-old Idelle Lever, of Paderborn Court, Bolton, had dishonestly received the cello, which had been stolen from Ramsbottom musician Gabrielle Gharino earlier this month.
The instrument, valued at £400 was taken from Miss Gharino’s car after she parked it in Chorley Street, Bolton, by Lever’s twin brother, Sean Lever, of St Ann Street, Halliwell, who was given a four month suspended prison sentence at an earlier hearing.
