STAFF at the Burnden Park branch of Asda raised more than £600 for two breast cancer charities through their Tickled Pink fete.
The September 28 day, which consisted of a tombola, raffle, hook-a-duck, face painting and a performance from Bolton School’s jazz band, was well received.
Part of a nationwide Asda scheme, the Burnden event offered a further boost to Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care, Tickled Pink’s nominated charities.
Store manager Andy Davies had his hair sprayed pink for the event, which was organised by the store’s community life champion Tracey Smith.
