CHILDREN from a Westhoughton school were put through their paces with an afternoon of street dance.
Pupils from Eatock Primary were given the opportunity to devise their own routine with the help of Laura James of Bolton’s Dance Works Studio.
Year four teacher Jenna Wilson said the youngsters revelled in the chance to take part in something outside of their normal syllabus.
She said: “They were all included so it was brilliant. Some of the steps were quite quick so they did really well to make sure they kept in time and moved on the right foot.
“There were some tricky moves.”
Dance is part of the school’s curriculum but Mrs Wilson says that doing such a contemporary dance form that the children can easily relate to was a rare treat.
She said: “It was wonderful for them to be able to get an expert opinion, they loved it.”
