Bolton Holiday Inn named best hotel employer in country
BOLTON’S Holiday Inn has been crowned the best hotel employer in the country.
The firm which owns the town centre hotel was named best large hotel employer at the Caterer.com Best Employers in Hospitality awards.
Dieter Koch, general manager at the Holiday Inn Bolton Centre hotel, said: “We are delighted to have come home with this accolade as we faced strong competition from big names across the UK.
“The awards are a true reflection of the honest views of our team members and to be announced as winners proves that we put our team members and their training at the heart of our business.
“We firmly believe that if they are happy at work and continually trained to be the best they can be, they will provide the best service to ensure our customers come back time and time again.”
Caterer.com’s Best Employers in Hospitality Awards are judged by employee opinion, gathered via an online employee engagement survey. There is no external panel of judges and employee responses alone determine the results.
Caterer.com director Ian Burke said: “I believe that if you really want to know what an employer is like, you should ask not the employer, but the people that work for them.
“For the Caterer.com Best Employers in Hospitality Awards, that’s exactly the way it works.”The awards are now in their third year with almost 6,000 employees taking part in the survey to determine the category winners and the employer rankings in the top 50.
The glittering awards ceremony and dinner, hosted by comedian Hal Cruttenden, took place at the Lancaster London and were attended by 380 industry professionals representing most of the shortlisted entries.
