Dog owner charged with allowing animal to bite police officer
A DOG owner has appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court charged with two offences relating to the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Sean Stockton, aged 47, of Aldred’s Farm in Jacks Lane, Westhoughton, has been charged with allowing a dog to enter Reeves Hall Farm in Dodd Lane where it is alleged to have injured a police officer.
He is also charged with owning a dog which worried livestock on land at Radcliffes House Farm in Dodd Lane.
Both incidents are said to have happened on Friday, September 20.
Stockton was remanded on bail to appear at Bolton Crown Court on Friday October 25 and Bolton Magistrates Court on Thursday December 5.
