Ladybridge High pupils raise £1,000 for cancer care

Youngsters served up some treats goodies to raise more than £1,000 for cancer care.
Year Seven pupils at Ladybridge High School served coffee and brought in cakes they had made themselves or bought in exchange for a non-uniform day.
They raised £1,006 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Event organiser Nicola Burgess also revealed there were some future culinary stars in the making.
She said: “The pupils absolutely loved it. It was so popular it ran through break into the afternoon.
“If we do anything they always go into it wholeheartedly — they’re absolutely terrific at fundraising.”
She added: “We are already planning next year’s event.”
