A DRUNK who unleashed a mini-crime spree in the early hours of the morning on a Bolton street has been given a conditional discharge by magistrates.
Kieron Shaw, aged 28, of Hooton Street, Daubhill, went on the rampage in Deane Church Lane after drinking at least 10 pints of “strong” lager, vodka and Red Bull, Bolton magistrates heard.
Lynda Bainbridge, prosecuting, said Shaw was on his way home at 2am on September 22 when he committed nine separate offences, which included ripping coping stones from properties in Deane Church Lane, smashing windows and causing more than £400 damage to a motor vehicle.
Ms Bainbridge said damage amounted to nearly £1,000 and the noise woke residents.
Adam Whittaker, defending, said: “It is out of character. His mother is embarassed and he is embarassed by this.”
Magistrates gave Shaw a conditional discharge for two years and ordered him to pay compensation and costs of £85.
