BOLTON West MP Julie Hilling met with Girl Guides from Bolton to discuss issues including domestic violence.
Ms Hilling met with 23 members of the Lancashire Borders Girl Guides for a tour of parliament and question and answer session.
Following this the Bolton West MP, speaking at Home Office questions, asked Home Secretary Theresa May what the government was doing to combat domestic violence, by educating young women about what is acceptable in relationships.
Speaking afterwards, Ms Hilling said: “It was great to meet so many Guides from Bolton, especially given the atrocious weather we had on Monday, and I am glad I was able to ask a question about this very important issue which was raised in the Girl Guides annual attitudes survey.”
