A REWARD of £25,000 is being offered in the search for suspected robber Lee Seddon.

Seddon, whose last known address is in Bolton, is being hunted by police in connection with the robbery of a cash van in Preston.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of £25,000 for any information leading to his arrest.

Salford-born Seddon, aged 36, is wanted after the robbery on June 12 this year at the Brookfield Newsagent in Langfield Road, Preston.

A security van was making a cash delivery at the ATM when the guards were attacked by three men wearing balaclavas, one of whom was wielding a machete.

Several cash containers were stolen.

Police believe Seddon is still in the Manchester area and is likely being harboured by someone.

Despite a nationwide appeal on BBC1’s Crimewatch programme in September, Seddon is still at large and police hope the incentive of a Crimestoppers reward will encourage people to come forward.

Det Sgt Mark Riley said: “I would appeal to anyone who has information as to Lee Seddon’s current whereabouts or with any information that could assist with our efforts to find him to contact Lancashire Police. He should not be approached by the public.

“I would also issue a warning to those harbouring Seddon that they will be prosecuted for assisting an offender.”

Anyone with information can contact Lancashire Police on 101, quoting reference LC-20130612-0332, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

Michael Bond, aged 31 of Gorsey Avenue, Manchester, and Robert Pinkney, aged 31, of Isis Close, Salford, have both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the same incident.

They will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on the December 3.
