Cineworld Bolton closed after power cut

The closure was announced on the cinema's Twitter account at about 3pm today.

The tweet read: "**POWER CUT** We are currently closed due to a power cut. Further news as and when."

But just over an hour later it was announced, again on Twitter, that the cinema was once again open for business.

The second tweet read: "**WE'RE BACK!** Power is back on."

The cinema is based in The Valley retail park on Eagley Brook Way, Bolton.

Yes I was there watching the excellent film "The Butler". Unfortunately the power cut occurred with about 20mins left of the film to run. The staff handled the power cut well - came into the auditorium to inform us what was going on and then when it became apparent that it could be out for quite some time the manager quickly arranged for everyone to get free tickets to return on another occasion. Well done Cineworld.

Sounds like excellent customer service - not often you hear that from the retail world!
