TESTS are being carried out to help identify the body of a woman who was found in woodland near Raikes Lane.
The mystery woman's decomposed body was found in Raikes Clough, Burnden, on Thursday, October 10.
Police launched an appeal to help discover her identity, but now believe they know who she is. She is thought to be from the midlands.
She was described as being between the ages of 18 and 25.
Photographs of distinctive jewellery she was wearing were released by police in a bit to trigger people's memories about who she was.
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
