THE Inner Wheel club of Horwich brewed up a huge sum of money for charity at a coffee morning.

The club raised more than £4,200 which will go to a number of different charities the club supports.

Most of the money will go to club president Margaret Pyatt’s chosen charity, Speakeasy, which works with people who have suffered communication problems after a stroke or head injury. The coffee morning is the club’s main fundraiser of the year and was held at Horwich RMI Club.

Club correspondent Sylvia Twist said: “The club would like to thank all members of the public who supported the event. It was lovely to see such a big turnout and the money will make a huge difference to the charities that the club supports.”
