WHIZZKIDS took part in a series of maths challenges at Kearsley Academy to raise money for the NSPCC.

Children from primary schools across Bolton competed at the school in Springfield Road.

Alan Stokes, head of maths at the school, said: “It was great to see the children work out complicated sums. I think this will give them a great idea about problem solving. They showed great tenacity not to hide away when something got difficult.”
