Enough food to make 3,000 meals was donated to volunteers at Tesco.
In total, the public donated 1361kg of food to Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank and Tesco staff.
The collections were made at the supermarket in Long Causeway, Farnworth.
Dave Eglinton, community champion for Tesco in Farnworth, said: “I’m very pleased with how much we collected.
"These collections are brilliant because everybody gets involved to help others.
"As always, the volunteers from the foodbank were amazing.”
