THE coroner will investigate the death of a man who died more than month after a car crash.
Harold Waring, aged 57, from Bolton, died on December 29, more than a month after he suffered a fractured pelvis in an accident when he was hit by a VW Golf as he crossed Topp Way, at the junction with St George’s Road, near Bolton town centre, on November 12.
He was discharged from hospital on November 29 but was taken ill on December 29 and died the same day at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
An inquest into Mr Waring’s death has been opened and adjourned at Bolton Coroner’s Court.
Shortly after his death police appealed to anyone with information about the crash.
Police are investigating whether the crash in any way contributed to his death.
Anyone with information can phone police on 0161 8564741.
