A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Bolton this evening.

The female pedestrian was hit at around 5.30pm in St George’s Road, Bolton.

The woman suffered minor injuries, and has been taken to hospital for checks.

Journalistic standards seem to have slipped a bit since my day. I was always told that the correct wording should be "was in collision with a car" so as not to imply blame, but maybe the BN has some very good lawyers.

Isn't this the very definition of a NON-STORY??? Either the woman is a friend of the reporter and/or works for The Bolton News and wants a few weeks on the sick and a couple of grand compensation as these are the only explanations why this has made it to print. Andrew Bardsley, what a waste of time...
