A FARNWORTH man has been charged with attempting to carry out a robbery armed with a pair of scissors.
Sam Worthington, aged 21, of Almond Street, has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article, namely a pair of scissors.
The incident is alleged to have taken place at William Hill betting shop in Glynne Street, Farnworth, at 6.50pm on Friday.
He appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court and the case was referred to Bolton Crown Court. Worthington will appear for a preliminary hearing on January 31.
