FAMOUS faces from the small screen donned their most glamorous outfits for a glittering annual awards ceremony.
Walkden actress Catherine Tyldesley opted for full-on glamour with a black ballgown complete with sheer lace top to grace the red carpet at the National Television Awards (NTAs).
The former St George's RC High School pupil was one of a number of Coronation Street stars who celebrated the soap picking up the gong for Best Serial Drama and Julie Hesmondhalgh winning Best Serial Drama Performance for her portrayal of Hayley Cropper, who died in Monday night’s episode.
The 30-year-old, who plays Eva Price, wrote on Twitter: “Well done #corrie so proud of everyone. What a great night”.
Co-star Georgia May Foote, who lives in Bolton, donned an embellished gown and wore her long locks in loose curls with a slick of dark red lipstick.
The 22-year-old, who was born in Bury and plays Katy Armstrong, posted on Twitter: “Well done corrie! #bestserialdrama #veryproud #nta”.
Other Corrie cast members who attended Wednesday evening’s event at London’s O2 Arena included Jennie McAlpine and Anthony Cotton, both from Bury, and Michelle Keegan, who dazzled in a floor-length green gown.
Bolton TV presenter Vernon Kay was spotted cheering on his wife Tess Daly, who picked up the award for Best Talent Show, along with the cast and crew of Strictly Come Dancing.
Former Turton High School pupil Sammy Winward, known for playing Katie Sugden in soap Emmerdale, also made an appearance along with Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson and Dancing on Ice’s Suzanne Shaw, both from Bury.
