SINGER Vicky Jones says her dream would be to play a gig at the Reebok Stadium.

But first the sister of McFly’s Danny Jones must impress the superstar judges on tonight’s episode of The Voice UK.

The 29-year-old, whose mum owns Xcel Hair Salon, The Last Drop Village, has been singing since she was a little girl and hopes the show can help her achieve her dream of success in the music industry.

She said: “I just guess it was the right time really. I’m 29, it was now or never. I’ve always performed from being really young.

“It’d be quite nice to play the Reebok Stadium. That would be pretty neat.”

Along with her younger brother Danny, aged 27, who went on to find fame with McFly and is now part of supergroup McBusted, she performed at the Buskers Ball open mic nights, across Bolton, as a teenager.

She said: “We performed in the Man and Scythe most Saturdays.

“We used to go all round a lot of the pubs — Elements, The Volunteer in Bromley Cross, where I’m from.

“We had a couple at the Last Drop Village, the Cross Guns in Egerton.

“I’ve got different influences, music from rock backgrounds, folk and a lot of pop music as well.

“People like Bruce Springsteen and Alanis Morissette.”

Tonight (SAT) will see the singer take part in the show’s blind auditions, performing Bon Jovi’s Bed of Roses in a bid to impress the four coaches — Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones, and Ricky Wilson.

If the judges like what they hear, they press a button to rotate their chairs and, if more than one shows interest, the contestant has to choose which team to join.

The former Thornleigh Salesian College pupil did a music business course at London Metropolitan University and ended up working in fashion PR but says it has always been her dream to make it as a singer.

She added: “Ultimately, I think everyone will say the same thing, you just want to be heard as an artist and a singer.”

The Voice UK is on BBC1 at 7pm tonight.
