A DRIVER suffered a suspected broken wrist and nose when two 4x4s crashed in Farnworth.

A white Range Rover and a blue BMW were involved in the smash at the junction of Manchester Road and Loxham Street, Farnworth, at 9.40am this morning.

A police spokesman was unable to confirm which car the injured person was in.

Loxham Street was closed temporarily.

Plenty of accidents at this junction,usually caused by cars approaching from Farnworth in the middle lane and then turning right towards Little Lever cutting other drivers up and crossing in front of traffic coming straight on from Bolton. I must point out that I am not saying this happened on this occasion.
