A SECOND man has been bailed in connection with a wave of robberies in Deane.
The man was arrested on Thursday afternoon after a series of incidents in and around Deane Church Lane between Thursday, January 16, and Sunday, January 19.
Another incident in which a woman was attacked in St Helens Road, Daubhill, was reported to police last Wednesday afternoon.
Two street robberies also took place.
The owner of Cake Delight in Deane Church Lane took the decision to close for a day amid fears the store would be targeted.
He was released on bail. The second man was arrested on Thursday and has now also been released on bail.
