LONELY heart Kyrie Allsopp beat 30,000 girls to win a place on dating show Take Me Out — alongside host and fellow Boltonian Paddy McGuinness.

Kyrie first auditioned for the ITV dating show in October 2012 but it was not until a year later that she was asked to attend an audition in London.

After a nerve-wracking day in front of a camera, her dream came true and she was picked as one of the girls who get to chant “no likey, no lighty” along with funnyman Paddy.

Miss Allsopp, who comes from Deane but now lives in Atherton, takes her bow on tonight’s show.

She cannot say if she gets whisked off to the Isle of Fernandos with an eligible bachelor but said no one would be rooting for her more than her naval officer dad Eddie.

She said: “I’ve not had a bad dating past or anything. I just really love the show and love nothing more than watching it on a Saturday night.

“It’s so funny and entertaining. And of course there’s Paddy as well.

“He is so down to earth. He even gave all the contestants a signed Christmas card because we filmed in December.

“Both my mum and dad have been really supportive.

“My dad says he’ll be watching the show with his crew when he’s back at sea.

“It was an amazing experience. I loved it. I feel so lucky because I was told that 30,000 girls applied to be on the show.

“Apparently Paddy helps the producers to pick the girls depending on who he likes, so you never know, he might have chosen me because we are both from Bolton.”

The 24-year-old, who works as a kids’ club holiday rep, added: “I know there’s a lot of negative press about what goes on behind the scenes but in my opinion all the girls were lovely.

“You think it’ll be really bitchy but it wasn’t at all — it was like one big girly sleepover.

“I’ve only had nasty comments on Twitter but I just take it with a pinch of salt. I don’t know them — plus I’ve met Paddy so I don’t care what anyone says.”

Catch her on Take Me Out tonight at 8.20pm on ITV.
