AN award-winning continental market is set to return to Bolton in March.

Traders from around the world will decend on Victoria Square for the four-day market bringing exotic meats such as kangaroo, wild boar and ostrich.

The market, from Thursday, March 13, to Sunday, March 16, will also sell non-food items, such as soaps and plants.

Jimmy Bean will sell a large selection of coffee beans, along with a collection of exotic loose leaf teas.

Jences will offer Spanish Paella while the Greek Grill House will have gyros, meat skewers, and moussaka.

Meanwhile, Crepes Temptation will offer French crepes, galettes, and fresh waffles.

A spokesman for Market Place said: “Our traders shall be offering Bolton a fantastic selection of flavours from all across the globe offering something for the whole family.

"The traders have a great array of products varying from hot and fresh food, crafts and gifts for all. It shall definitely be the place to be.”

Market Place is also bringing its authentic German schwenkgrille, serving traditional and spicy bratwurst.

The Cheese Board will also be in Bolton with a variety of tasty cheeses from all over the world.

Pure Indulgence Soaps will be bringing an array of handmade bath and body products, soaps, bombs, fizzers, candles, oil burners, oils and incense and holders.

Dutch Flowers on Tour will offer a selection of flowers, plants, bulbs and more.

The opening hours of the market are Thursday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Cabinet member for community services, Cllr John Byrne, said: “Once again Victoria Square will be transformed into a bustling continental market place.

“Market Place Europe is one of the UK’s leading special event market companies and this event always attracts people into the town centre.

“There’s something for everyone as the market always has a fantastic range of products on offer.”
