STAFF from four McDonald’s restaurants have teamed up to raise more than £5,000 for Bolton Hospice.
The team comprised more than 100 staff from the restaurants in Knowsley Street, Astley Bridge, Middlebrook Retail Park and Delph Hill, and organised a series of fundraising events and challenges over 12 months.
Those included a climb up Snowdonia, two managers undertaking the Great Manchester 10k run, a sponsored football tournament between the restaurants, car boot sales and raffles.
Bolton Hospice’s own Cyril the Squirrel visited the four restaurants to help raise funds and increase awareness.
Dave Shaw, franchisee of the four McDonald’s in Bolton, presented the cheque to Bolton Hospice, along with members of his team.
Mr Shaw said: “The generosity of our staff and customers and the enthusiasm of my team makes me extremely proud.
“The team have excelled themselves in the past 12 months and really pushed themselves to raise as much money as possible for the cause.”
