A TAXI flipped onto its side after crashing into a central reservation in the early hours of this morning.

The Metro cab flattened the reservation barrier after crashing into it in Turton Street, just outside Bolton town centre.

Firefighters from Bolton Central fire station were called to the incident at about 2am.

They freed one man from the vehicle, and his injuries are not thought to be serious.

Crew manager Richard Henthorne, from Bolton Central fire station, said: "The driver’s injuries could have been more serious.

"Please take care when you are driving and don’t get distracted.”
