PARTS of Westhoughton were left without power after overhead power lines fell down after winds battered Bolton.
Thirty two households in the Wigan Road and Common Street area — both residential and business — were affected by the power cut shortly before 6pm on Thursday.
Engineers from Electricity North West repaired the damage and said power was back on by 11.15pm.
A spokesman for ENW said: “Engineers were called to repair over head power lines in the Wigan Road and Common Street area of Westhoughton on Thursday evening, which were caused by high winds.
“If anyone else is experiencing loss of electricity please contact us immediately so we can deal with the problem.”
