A THIEF who ransacked a Radcliffe house has been spared jail.
Grzegorz Sobolewski, aged 19, of Hunters Hill, Unsworth, burgled a property in Kenyon Street, two days before Christmas and was then caught carrying a knife with a six-inch blade in Cecil Street, Bury, just over two weeks later.
Items stolen had a combined value of £900, Bury magistrates heard.
Sobolewski was sentenced to 12 months’ custody suspended for two years and 300 hours of community service.
