First published in

EXCITED children enjoyed a special visit when Peppa Pig came to The Market Place.

More than 500 youngsters, on their half-term holidays, were read a story by a narrator while Peppa did the actions.

Among those who got to meet Peppa Pig was three-year-old Isabelle Brown.

Centre manager Rod Neasham said: “We knew Peppa Pig was popular but we couldn’t have predicted this Thursday’s turn out.

“It was fantastic to see so many local families at Market Place and we will definitely be inviting this ‘little piggy’ back to the centre in the future.”

After the event, children were able to meet and take photos of the TV favourite.
