PUPILS at Sharples School lent a hand to a Bolton charity’s annual homelessness scheme last week.
Urban Outreach’s chief executive Dave Bagley and food bank manager Gaynor Holt visited the school to receive food collections that pupils had put together to support the scheme.
Winter Watch provides homeless people with food, company, clothing, showers, health and housing information, and sessions by hairdressers and chiropodists.
The project runs annually between January and March at the Urban Restore Centre in Pool Street, helping between 60 and 90 people a night.
For details about dropping off donations, call the Winter Watch office on 01204 385848.
