TWO masked robbers pinned a school boy against a fence and stole his phone.

The 15-year-old was walking home from school along Highfield Road, Little Hulton when he was targeted as he cut through a ginnel leading to Captainfold Road.

The two robbers, who were masked, threatened him with violence and pushed him against a fence and made demands for his phone.

One of the criminals said he had a knife. The boy was very frightened and handed over his phone before running to a nearby house, where police were called.

It took place at 4.25pm on Thursday.

One of the suspects is described as being white, about 15-years-old, of fat build, 5ft 7ins tall, he was wearing a light blue zip up type jacket with the hood up and a white mask covering his nose and mouth.

The other youth is described as being white, aged about 16, 6ft tall, of skinny build and he was wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and a black type mask covering his nose and mouth.

Det Cons David Cupitt, from Salford division, said: “This teenager was minding his own business when he was walking home from school on Thursday afternoon when he was approached by these two masked boys who demanded his mobile.

"He was terrified by the sight of these two teenagers and handed over his phone. Thankfully he was not injured, but has understandably been left very shaken by the incident.

“I want to appeal to anyone who either witnessed the robbery itself, or perhaps has information about what happened or even suspects who may be involved, to come forward."
