THE boss of Bolton electricity and gas comparison company Love Energy Savings has hailed the passion and commitment of rising wrestling star George Ramm after becoming his official sponsor.

Managing director Phil Foster said of the 17-year-old Sharples Wrestling Club contender: “We are very excited about sponsoring George.

“His commitment and passion towards sport and his dreams are fantastic, and we are pleased to be able to support his development.”

Ramm is four-time English and two-time British champion and is aiming to be part of Team GB at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this year.

He is also targeting the Olympics in Brazil in 2016 and Tokyo in 2020.

And his chances of making the team improved last weekend when he won bronze in the English Seniors championships.

“The Love Energy Savings sponsorship will allow me to compete internationally,” he said.

“I will now be able to train at camps abroad which have some of the best partners and facilities.

“The company has stepped in at a point in my career where it will really benefit myself and my family.

“The only way to progress as an athlete is through a strict diet plan, training and international competition and this becomes expensive.”

Meanwhile, Love Energy Savings staff have taken part in a “team vision” workshop at The

Environmental Resource Centre in Bury Road, Bolton.

Twelve representatives from the company attended the full day event to develop the company’s vision and values.
