LITTLE stars have landed television work thanks to a new drama school.

Eight-year-old Honey Woodbridge, from Kearsley, and five-year-old Ceyda Kizilkaya, of Morris Green Lane, feature in the new television advertisement for Pukka Pies.

They attend Little Allstars Drama School sessions at Highfield Community Hall, Marsh Lane, Farnworth, run by Michelle Hurne, aged 31, from Great Lever.

Mrs Hurne started the sessions in Farnworth after launching Little Allstars Casting and Modelling Agency in 2011, followed by Little Allstars Drama School in Urmston in 2012.

The former Canon Slade School pupil said: “Honey had her first audition in November just a month after joining us and got it. She filmed the Philips Sonicare TV commercial.

“Then, at the end of December, she went for a second audition and again got it and filmed for Pukka Pies. Ceyda Kizilkaya attended her first audition at the end of December and got it and played Honey’s younger sister.”

Honey’s mother Natalie, married to Barry, said: “My daughter loves the classes at Little Allstars Drama School. Michelle is always enthusiastic and dedicated to the students.

“Honey has not been attending drama long and already she has been in two TV commercials and been involved in a short film.” Little Allstars meets every Monday at Highfield Community Hall from 4pm to 6pm for three to eight-year-olds and 6pm to 8pm for nine to 18 years.

Mrs Hurne, who has appeared in a number of feature and small films, as well as Hollyoaks, Shameless and Coronation Street, added: “The success rate of my students getting confirmed work is amazing.

“My drama school isn't stagey, we are more TV/film actors so we are all natural and that’s what the casting directors love about us.

“We do lots with the children, getting them ready for professionally paid work.

“They also get TV/film experience as we encourage them to be involved in our film productions.

“At Christmas, we didn't do a Christmas panto. We worked with a fantastic film production company and made a film, The Kids That Saved Christmas.

“It was a great experience for the children on both sides of the camera and they all got a DVD at the end.”
