POLICE have just hours left to quiz two people arrested in connection with the murder of Farnworth man Marc Jepson.
A 27-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman from Farnworth were arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and, after the initial 24 hours allotted for questioning expired, police have successfully applied for another 36 hours.
That time is now running out and police have until about midnight to charge the two suspects.
A 41-year-old woman from Farnworth was arrested yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and is still in custody for questioning.
Mr Jepson was found dead at his home in Kildare Street, Farnworth, at about 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 5.
Post mortem examination revealed that Mr Jepson died from "asphyxiation", police said.
