SCHOOL children are selling cakes to raise funds for youngsters in Africa.
St Columba’s RC Primary School in Tonge Moor has raised more than £80 as each class takes it in turn to make and sell the cakes, raising funds for Kamfinsa Basic School in Zambia.
Office administrator Tracy Boardman said: “We’ve been partners with Kamfinsa for about three years now, and we’re always looking for ways to help them out. The money raised is going towards buying books, to help them build a library.
“The classes are taking it in turns to run the sales, so we’re hoping we’ll have quite a bit of money to send away at the end of it.”
