A SLIMMING group has put loose change to good use, raising £70 for charity.
St Simon and Jude’s Slimming World Group in Great Lever handed over the cheque to the Bolton Dyslexia Action group after saving leftover subscription money.
The charity plans to use the money for resources for the children they work with.
Slimming World consultant Barbra Kerks said: “One of our members uses the Dyslexia Action group’s services, so it was a no-brainer to choose them when we were thinking about giving the money to a local cause.”
The slimming group meets at 5pm on Thursdays, at St Simon and Jude’s School in Newport Road.
