A MAN accused of sex trafficking and managing a brothel has appeared before magistrates.

Alex Breir, aged 41, of Wolfenden Street, Halliwell, is accused of operating a brothel in Alice Street, Deane, between October, 2012 and March 16 of this year.

He is also charged with controlling the activities of another person in relation to prostitution for his own gain during the same period.

Brier also faces charges of arranging and facilitating the travel of a woman into and within the UK.

On March 17, magistrates opted for Brier’s case to be moved to Bolton Crown Court, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 4.
