A FARNWORTH man flew into a temper and attacked his brother’s car after getting locked out of his home, a court heard.

Jordan Hodgson, aged 20, of Harper Green Road, phoned his brother after he could not get into the family home on the evening of November 16 last year.

When his brother, Aaron, did not return to the property to let him in Hodgson sent a text telling him he was going to smash up his car.

When Aaron Hodgson returned home he found his car damaged and, in a row between the two men in the kitchen, Jordan Hodgson lashed out, kicking and damaging his mother’s freezer.

Hodgson pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage and breach of a previously imposed suspended sentence.

The court heard that Hodgson now lives in a bedsit.

Recorder Simon Killeen described his behaviour as “disgraceful conduct” and sentenced him to a community order for 12 months with supervision. He must also do £200 hours unpaid work, take part in an intervention programme and pay a £60 victim surcharge.
