A FARNWORTH man was jailed after he was caught drink-driving while banned from the road and in possession of a meat cleaver.

Stephen Kent, aged 39, of Campbell Street, has been jailed for 22 weeks after being arrested driving a Peugeot 307 in Bow Street, Bolton on November 17.

He has also been given a four-year ban from driving after admitting the drink-driving charges which he had initially denied.

The meat cleaver will be forfeited and destroyed.
