A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was allegedly raped at knifepoint in Bolton.

Police are now hunting her alleged attacker - after he failed to turn up at court for trial.

The girl was allegedly raped twice - between May 1 and June 30 last year - at an address in Bolton. One of those attacks was at knifepoint, police said today.

As part of a subsequent investigation, Hardi Hijrani, aged 21, was charged with two counts of rape.

A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to attend Bolton Crown Court to stand trial. He has links to Bolton and Wakefield.

Det Const Charlotte Morgan said: “Hardi Hijrani has been charged with two very serious offences for which he was due to stand trial but failed to attend.

“Despite numerous enquiries to locate him he remains at large and I would urge any member of the public with information as to his whereabouts to call me.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 1468, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
