A WOMAN was battered into concussion while on a train home to Bolton after a Rudimental concert.
The attack happened on a train between Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton between 12.15am and 12.25am on February 22 as a group of people made their way home from the night out in Manchester.
During the journey, a woman, who was with two other people, was attacked, leaving her with a head injury, bruising and concussion.
Several passengers helped her and the attacker was restrained, suffering injuries to his ear and face.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Det Con Gray, investigating for the British Transport Police, said: “The carriage was extremely busy — several people had been to a Rudimental concert in Manchester that evening — and I am convinced that there are witnesses we have yet to speak to.”
