A 55-YEAR-OLD man has been cleared of assaulting his former girlfriend after a night out.
Stephen Grime was accused of attacking Zoe Seymour on September 27, Bolton Magistrates Court heard.
Miss Seymour, who admitted she was drunk and could not remember some events during the course of the night, claimed that when they returned to his house in The Rowans, Heaton, Mr Grime assaulted her and tried to strangle her.
Mr Grime denied the allegations, saying that he had been the victim of a “tirade” of verbal abuse.
