The M61 northbound has been closed this morning after a lorry crashed and caught fire.
The motorway is closed between junction 5 and 6, between Westhoughton and Horwich, after the accident, which happened at about 5.15am.
Fuel was also spilled on the road, and traffic is queuing all the way back to junction 4 at Farnworth.
The road reopened at about 6.30am, but one lane is still closed on the southbound carriageway of the M61.
Traffic was diverted via the A6 Chorley/Manchester Road.
