THE Easter story — told through the eyes of those who knew Jesus best — is being performed at The Bridge Church and Conference Centre in The Haulgh.

The Blame has a cast of more than 100 people and features dance, drama, music, a full choir and talented soloists, the youngest just 11-years-old.

The original script and score has been written by Ian Matthews, from Horwich, a regular attendee of The Bridge Church following the success of a shorter version he wrote as part of Easter celebrations last year.

The plot follows the final days of the life of Jesus, leading up to the crucifixion through the eyes of a number of individuals who came into contact with him including his closest friend, an outcast woman, a servant girl, a Roman centurion and Pontius Pilate.

Each has their own outlook, and together they paint a picture which aims to ask one key question, “where does the blame lie?”

The Blame will run for three performances at The Bridge Church — 7.30pm tonight and Thursday and 2pm on Saturday.

Tickets cost £4 for adults or £2 for children.
